DESCRIPTION:Hirofumi Osada: I talk homogenization of diffusion in two-dimen
 sional Euclidian space in a periodic Coulomb environment.\nThat is\, we co
 nsider a periodic point process in the plane and the diffusion has the rep
 ulsive interaction with the two-dimensional Coulomb potential with inverse
  temperature β to each particle in the periodic point process.\nWe first 
 prove that the diffusion is diffusive with non-degenerated effective diffu
 sion constant γ.\nWe then remove one particle from the environment and co
 nsider the diffusive scaling limit of the diffusion. Then its new effectiv
 e constant depending on the inverse temperature β has a phase transition 
 whose critical point is given explicitly in terms of the original effectiv
 e diffusion constant γ of the periodic homogenization problem. Using this
  result\, we present explicit bounds for the critical point of the self-di
 ffusion matrices of the two-dimensional strict Coulomb interacting Brownia
