DESCRIPTION:Gilles Courtois: Le lemme de Milnor-Švarc dit que l’entropie
  d’une variété compacte est non nulle si et seulement si son groupe fo
 ndamental est à croissance exponentielle mais ne donne pas de lien systé
 matique entre l’entropie minimale d’une variété et son groupe fondam
 ental. Le but de l’exposé est d’expliquer ces notions et de voir qu
 ’un tel lien existe lorsque le groupe fondamental est hyperbolique au se
 ns de Gromov.\nEntropy of manifolds and their fundamental groups.\nThe Mil
 nor-Švarc lemma says that the entropy of a compact manifold is non-zero i
 f and only if its fundamental group is exponentially growing but does not 
 give a systematic link between the minimal entropy of a manifold and its f
 undamental group . The aim of the talk is to explain these notions and to 
 see that such a link exists when the fundamental group is hyperbolic in th
