DESCRIPTION:: In this talk I will show a construction of weak global soluti
 on for the full parabolic Keller-Segel model for chemotaxis in two dimensi
 ons. This result is based on a gradient flow interpretation of the system 
 and its time discretization. An energy dissipation inequality is also obta
