DESCRIPTION:Ramiro Godoy-Diana: The interaction between two neighbouring sw
 immers constitutes the fabric of the very rich collective dynamics that is
  observed in a fish school in nature. I will discuss different aspects of 
 our recent work on swimmer interactions\, where we have designed experimen
 ts with real fish or with simple robotic models\, as well as numerical sim
 ulations\, to examine the questions of swimmers synchronisation\, pattern 
 formation and energy expenditure\, using the most basic interactions betwe
