SUMMARY:Jonathan Wang (MIT\, Cambridge): Intersection complexes and unramif
 ied L-factors - Jonathan Wang
DESCRIPTION:Jonathan Wang: Part of the aim of the relative Langlands progra
m is to produce new integral representations of automorphic L-functions. T
he program is still very much in progress\, but generalized Ichino-Ikeda f
ormulas of Sakellaridis-Venkatesh relate the global problem to certain pro
blems in local harmonic analysis on spherical varieties. In particular\, c
ertain integrals involving the intersection complex of the formal arc spac
e of a spherical variety are conjecturally equal to special values of unra
mified L-functions over a local function field. I will explain how we use
techniques from geometric representation theory to establish this equality
for a large class of spherical varieties. This is joint work with Yiannis
  Sakellaridis.
