SUMMARY: (...): Introduction to quantum machine learning
DESCRIPTION:: Quantum computing carries the promise to revolutionize inform
 ation and communication technologies. After a short introduction to quantu
 m computation\, we will go through all the main theorems in quantum algori
 thms and quantum machine learning. Specifically\, we will see how to load 
 classical data in a quantum computers\, how to calculate distances in supe
 rposition\, and how to perform linear algebraic operations exponentially f
 aster than classical computers. Lastly\, we will sketch some results: quan
 tum algorithms for dimensionality reduction\, classification\, and cluster
 ing. Some of them are exponentially faster than the classical counterpart.
