SUMMARY: (...): Introduction to the representation theory of Lie groups
DESCRIPTION:: As the title says\, I wanted to do an introduction to the rep
 resentation theory of Lie groups. But I realized that this beautiful theor
 y turns around two central objects : the adjoint representation and Lie al
 gebras. Hence\, I decided to show you why these objects are actually relev
 ant and how they were constructed. This should be the first-ish half of th
 e talk. For the second part\, I'll try to introduce a bit of representatio
 n theory and we'll take a look at the example of SL(2\,C). \n\n\n\nLe sé
 minaire des doctorant⋅es de l'I2M et du CPT à Luminy regroupe chaque se
 maine les doctorant⋅es du site autour d'un exposé plus ou moins (in)for
 mel\, dans un cadre convivial. Il est évidemment ouvert aux étudiant⋅e
