DESCRIPTION:Colloquium: Oleg LEPSKI (I2M\, Aix-Marseille Université)\nL'ob
 jectif principal de cette exposé  est de regarder d'un point de vue uniq
 ue à certains phénomènes découlant dans différents domaines de la th
 éorie des probabilités et des statistiques mathématiques. En particulie
 r\, nous allons essayer de comprendre ce qui est commun entre les résulta
 ts probabilistes classiques\, tels que la loi de logarithme itérée  par
  exemple et  le problème dans l'estimation adaptative appelée prix à p
 ayer pour l'adaptation. Pourquoi il existe deux types différents de ce pr
 ix? Il s'est avéré que tous ces problèmes et de nombreux autres problè
 mes peuvent être réduits à la recherche de la majorante (upper function
 ) pour une collection donnée  de variables aléatoires positives.\n\nL'e
 xposé est accessible pour tous les mathématiciens (j’espère).\n[su_sp

 the adaptative theory\nThe main objective of this talk is to look from a u
 nique perspective at some phenomena arising in different areas of probabil
 ity theory and mathematical statistics. In particular\, we will try to und
 erstand what is common between classical probabilistic results\, such as t
 he iterated logarithm law for example\, and the problem in adaptive estima
 tion called the price to pay for adaptation. Why are there two different t
 ypes of this price? It turns out that all these problems and many others c
 an be reduced to the search for the upper function for a given collection 
 of positive random variables.\nThe presentation is accessible to all mathe
