 TION\n\nThis research school focuses on the mathematical study and analysi
 s of geophysical fluid models. As in the case of the Navier-Stokes equatio
 ns\, many of these models still lack\, however\, basic understanding conce
 rning global existence and existence of smooth solutions. In ocean and atm
 ospheric dynamics\, and also in the theory of boundary layers\, one is hen
 ce investigating often reduced simplified models\, whose derivations are b
 ased on formal procedures\, some of which are not systematic and calling f
 or rigorous validation at the relevant temporal scales.\nIn this research 
 school\, mini-courses and talks by leading experts will be combined with p
 resentations of recent results of PhD students and postdocs to foster furt
 her dialogue and collaboration.\nTOPICS OF THIS RESEARCH SCHOOL\n\nTo incl

  viscous/inviscid compressible/incompressible equations subject to hydrost
