DESCRIPTION:: In this talk\, we consider the diffusion equation with time-f
 ractional derivatives of Caputo type. Fractional diffusion equations (FDEs
 ) are proposed as new governing equations for the diffusion of contaminant
 s underground.We first establish a mathematical model and derive FDEs from
  it. Next we introduce some obtained results for forward\, inverse and con
 trol problems. Finally we will introduce some topics which are now in prog
 ress.
