 emann ζ function in typical intervals
DESCRIPTION:Maksym Radziwill: An outstanding problem in analytic number the
 ory is to understand the maximum of the Riemann ζ function on the critica
 l line. The problem is poorly understood even at a conjectural level. Moti
 vated by the physics literature Fyodorov and Keating made recently a conje
 cture on the maximum of the Riemann ζ function in typical segments of len
 gth 1 lying on the critical line. I will discuss this conjecture\, and the
  recent confirmation of it in the first order in joint work with Arguin\,
