SUMMARY: (...): Measure rigidity for actions of adelic tori on homogeneous 
 spaces
DESCRIPTION:: E. Lindenstrauss proved that the action of the full adelic to
 rus on the homogeneous space PGL(2\, A)/PGL(2\,Q) is uniquely ergodic\, in
  contrast to the geodesic flow on the modular surface. I will discuss anal
 ogues of his result to certain higher rank spaces. Joint work with M. Bjor
