DESCRIPTION:: Many years ago I constructed an infinite family of hyperbolic
  knots that admit a half integral toroidal Dehn surgery\, that is\, a surg
 ery that produces a manifold containing an essential torus. The constructi
 on was made by means of tangles and double branched covers. Some years lat
 er\, Gordon and Luecke proved that this family consists of all knots with 
 a non-integral toroidal surgery.Now I give an explicit construction of som
 e of these knots\, that is\, a direct construction of the knots\, without
