  division at the Institute for Plasma Physics in Garching\, Germany\, orga
 nizes every year a workshop dedicated to the numerical methods for kinetic
  equations (https://www.ipp.mpg.de/NumKin2017).\nIn 2021\, this workshop w
 ill be organized in Marseille\, at CIRM. It will bring together specialist
 s working on kinetic theory\, in the framework of the magnetic fusion.\nKi
 netic equations are very important when studying the dynamics of statistic
 s of large number of particles. Their applications include the transport o
 f charged particles under electro-magnetic fields\, neutron transport\, as
 trophysics\, etc. One of the main motivations for their applications in pl
 asma is the energy production through magnetic confinement. We will invite
  experts on these topics\, but also young researchers and Ph.D. students. 
 We intend to bring together mathematicians and physicists working on the p
 hysics of plasma and their applications. This workshop will also include n
 ew directions of scientific computing such as uncertainty quantification a
 nd machine learning.\nThe workshop will focus on the development of numeri
 cal methods for collisionless or collisional kinetic equations and the las
 t day of the workshop will be devoted to discussions on the SeLaLib librar
 y. One afternoon will be dedicated to collaboration projects concerning th
 e work package on Fusion of the Energy Oriented Center of Excellence (EoCo
