 1 dim interacting Fermion Systems
DESCRIPTION:: In this talk\, we explain our results on classification of ga
 pped ground states of 1+1 dim interacting Fermion systems. In case of non-
 interacting Fermion systems with translation symmetry\, the ground states 
 are in one to one correspondence with projection matrix valued functions o
 n a torus (or equivalently vector bundles on a torus) and are classified b
 y K theory. For the interacting case\, no geometric correspondence is yet 
 known\, nevertheless\, for 1+1 dimensional systems\, using C*-operator alg
 ebraic methods\, we obtain an invariant\, so called "String Order" of clas
