DESCRIPTION:Roman V. Romanov: We survey recent results on the problem of or
 der for canonical systems with a particularemphasis on the indeterminate m
 oment problems. In this way\, we establish the validityof two conjectures 
 of Valent about the order of Jacobi matrices with power coefficients\,prov
 ide examples showing that a lower order estimate due to M. Livshits may di
 ffer fromthe actual order\, and prove a formula for the order for diagonal
  canonical systems (Kreinstrings).\n\n
