SUMMARY:Thomas Bloom (University of Toronto): Outlying coordinates in rando
 m matrix ensembles
DESCRIPTION:Thomas Bloom: We consider the convergence of the eigenvalues in
certain matrix ensembles. The weak* convergence of the empirical measure
to an equilibrium measure is well-established (Ben Arous\, A.Guionnet). We
will consider the behaviour of individual eigenvalues and using potential
theory\, prove a large deviation principle. This extends a result of Boro
t-Guionnet from the reals to the complex plane. \n
