TION\n\nTime parallel time integration methods have received important int
erest over the last decade because of the advent of massively parallel com
puters\, which is mainly due to the clock speed limit reached on today’s
processors. When solving time-dependent partial differential equations\,
the time direction is usually not used for parallelization. But when paral
lelization in space saturates\, the time direction offers itself as a furt
her direction for parallelization.\nThe time direction is however special\
, and for evolution problems there is a causality principle: the solution
later in time is affected (it is even determined) by the solution earlier
in time\, but not the other way round. Algorithms trying to use the time d
irection for parallelization must therefore be special\, and take this ver
y different property of the time dimension into account.\nThis conference
at CIRM will be the 11th of the annual PinT conference series (parallel-in
-time.org)\, which has attracted more and more  participants since the fi
rst small workshop in Lugano in 2011\, where there were only four plenary
lectures\, and a poster session.\nThere are currently four main research d
irections for PinT methods:\n\n\n Methods based on multiple shooting for
initial values\, which culminated in the Parareal algorithms and its varia
nts\, in particular PFASST and MGRIT.\n Waveform relaxation methods based
on spatial domain decomposition techniques and iteration\, like optimized
Schwarz waveform relaxation\, Dirichlet-Neumann waveform relaxation and N
 eumann-Neumann wave- form relaxation.\n Space-time multigrid methods\, go
ing back to the parabolic multigrid method of Hackbusch\, with extremely s
calable methods for parabolic type equations up to hundreds of thousands o
f cores\, with virtually no overhead\, i.e. speedup right from the start w
hen using two processors instead of one.\n Direct time parallel methods\,
starting from early parallel predictor corrector and Runge-Kutta methods\
, to RIDC\, ParaExp and ParaDiag\, which solve evolution problems directly
in parallel without iteration.\n\nPinT is still very rapidly evolving\, w
ith new ideas appearing all the time. Significant innovations are found in
particular for new ParaDiag variants\, time periodic preconditioning for
non time periodic problems\, time parallelization in optimal control probl
ems\, and tent pitching techniques for hyperbolic problems.\nThe goal of t
he annual PinT conference is to gather worldwide experts  in this excitin
g new field of research to exchange their newest ideas and also  collabo
 rate directly during the conference.\n\n\n\n \n\nSCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE\n\n
