DESCRIPTION:Semyon Klevtsov: I will talk about two related projects\, apply
 ing recent methods in Kähler geometry to some questions in physics. First
 \, I will explain\, how to use the sections of positive line bundle on Rie
 mann surfaces and on Kahler manifolds to construct Laughlin wave functions
  for integer and fractional Quantum Hall effect and compute their scaling 
 limits for large number of particles. Second\, I will talk about a proposa
 l to define statistical sums over geometries\, using the approach of rando
 m Bergman metrics.
