  Complexity and Computability
DESCRIPTION:Djamel Eddine AMIR: Symbolic dynamics shares deep connections w
 ith computability theory\, descriptive set theory\, and topology. These co
 nnections can be illustrated through the study of the descriptive complexi
 ty of properties of subshifts\, as well as the computability of their lang
 uages. In the first part of this talk\, we discuss the descriptive complex
 ity of invariants of subshifts from both symbolic and topological perspect
 ives. In the second part\, we examine the computability of languages of su
 bshifts that admit only finitely many subshifts satisfying properties of l
 ower descriptive complexity.
