DESCRIPTION:Serge TROUBETZKOY: How much dynamical complexity is forced by g
 eometric irregularity? Recent work shows that many familiar forms of irreg
 ular behavior coexist with zero entropy. I will discuss a new result showi
 ng that this phenomenon breaks down for Besicovitch maps\, continuous func
 tions whose graphs admit no tangent lines.
