DESCRIPTION:: It follows from Thurston's theory of hyperbolic Dehn fillings
  that there are closed hyperbolic 3-manifolds with arbitrarily small systo
 le. We illustrate this phenomenon via compact right-angled hyperbolic 3-po
 lyhedra\, viewed as reflection orbifolds\, and explain its relevance to th
 e construction of infinite families of pairwise incommensurable such polyh
 edra. This is joint work with Nikolay Bogachev.
