DESCRIPTION:Elisa Affili: We are interested in controlling the asymptotic b
 ehaviour of two competing species in an\ninterval by controlling the size 
 of the populations at the boundary. In particular\, we want to\nknow if it
  is possible to eradicate one of the species. Since the boundary controls 
 have to satisfy\npositivity constraints\, classic techniques in control th
 eory cannot be applied. In this talk\, we\nwill discuss non-controllabilit
 y phenomena due to the presence of barrier solutions depending\non the len
 gth of the interval and the competition coefficients of the systems.
