DESCRIPTION:Raphaël FORIEN: Lambda Fleming-Viot processes and Lambda coale
 scents were introduced in the early 2000's\nas a generalisation of the Fle
 ming-Viot process and the Kingman coalescent\, respectively.\nSuch process
 es arise naturally as a description of large and well-mixed populations\ni
 n which individuals occasionally produce large numbers of offspring\,\nbut
  in which the total number of individuals is kept fixed.\nAfter a general 
 introduction to these objects I will present some recent results\non how t
 he same objects arise in population models with fluctuating population siz
 e\,\nnotably in branching processes with logistic competition\,\nwhen the 
 carrying capacity tends to infinity.
