SUMMARY:Tommy Klein (I2M (AMU)): Eckmann-Hilton argument\, from monoids to 
 homotopy theory
DESCRIPTION:Tommy Klein: \n\n\n\n\n\nAbstract : I'll be first and foremost 
 introducing the Eckmann-Hilton argument in its most basic and algebraic fo
 rm\, which you may or may not be familiar with already. This argument was 
 historically used to prove that contrary to what was hoped at the time\, h
 igher homotopy groups are abelian. I will then tell you about the endless 
 list of reformulations\, equivalent forms\, applications and generalisatio
 ns of this seemingly innocuous result\, taking you on a trip through some 
 basic algebraic topology\, homotopy theory and category theory.\n\n\n\n\n\
 n\n\nLe séminaire des doctorant⋅es de l'I2M et du CPT à Luminy regroup
