SUMMARY:Ruojun HUANG (Uni Münster): Scaling limit of WASEP to KPZ equation
  without Gärtner transform.
DESCRIPTION:Ruojun HUANG: We prove that a rescaled and renormalised height 
 function\nof a weakly asymmetric simple exclusion process (WASEP) on a cir
 cle\nconverges to the Cole-Hopf solution of the KPZ equation.\nThis re-pro
 ves a well-known result by Bertini-Giacomin ('97)\,\nwith the only differe
 nce that they worked on the full line.\nThe main goal is to avoid Gärtner
  transform on the particle system\,\nwhich is a discrete version of the Co
 le-Hopf transform linearizing the KPZ equation.\nSuch nonlinear transforms
  are very special.\nWe use instead the framework of Hairer's regularity st
 ructures\nadapted to the discrete\, by Erhard-Hairer ('14)\, Grazieschi-Ma
 tetski-Weber ('24)\,\nand hope our approach is more robust.\nIn order to a
 pply this theory\,\nthe main technical challenge is the discrete renormali
 sation procedure\nwhich requires a subtle analysis of regularity-preservin
 g discrete convolution operators.\nBased on a joint work with Konstantin M
 atetski and Hendrik Weber.\n
