 random tensors
DESCRIPTION:Stéphane DARTOIS: In this talk\, I will present the results\no
 f a collaboration with Benjamin McKenna\non the injective norm of large ra
 ndom tensors\nand random quantum states\,\nand describe some of the underl
 ying context.\nThe injective norm is a natural generalization to tensors\n
 of the operator norm of a matrix\nand appears in multiple fields.\nIn quan
 tum information\,\nthe injective norm is one important measure\nof genuine
  multipartite entanglement of quantum states\,\nknown as geometric entangl
 ement.\nI will discuss how we first used\nan approach based on Kac-Rice fo
 rmula\nto obtain upper bounds on the injective norm\nof random Gaussian te
 nsors\,\nthat we believe to be tight.\nIf time allows\,\nI will also discu
 ss ongoing works\,\nin which we develop what we believe to be\na new\, muc
 h simpler approach to this question\,\nallowing us to recover some of our 
 Kac-Rice results\nand extend them beyond the Gaussian case.\n
