DESCRIPTION:: Abstract : After seeing how Cartan geometry can be expressed 
 in terms of a local Klein geometry and a choice of Cartan connection it is
  now time to introduce the notion of characteristic classes. We will see h
 ow they can allow to single out information on the manifold we want to stu
 dy by only taking into account the local geometry\, whatever the choice of
  connection happens to be.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe remainder of the talk will be
  devoted to see what it entails for a particular choice of local geometry 
 with gravity in mind.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nLe séminaire des doctorant⋅es d
 e l'I2M et du CPT à Luminy regroupe chaque semaine les doctorant⋅es du 
 site autour d'un exposé plus ou moins (in)formel\, dans un cadre convivia
 l. Il est évidemment ouvert aux étudiant⋅es de master et aux doctorant
 ⋅es d'autres laboratoires.\n\nPour le moment\, le séminaire a lieu dans
  la salle 500-504b du TPR2\, au 5ème étage.
