SUMMARY: (...): Topology in Physics\, application to superconductors
DESCRIPTION:: Abstract : Following on from last week talk\, we will delve i
 nto a main example of topological tools: the theory of unconventional supe
 rconductors. Superconductivity was first observed a century ago. However\,
  the BCS theory\, the first satisfying understanding of this phenomenon\, 
 was formalized in 1957. This satisfaction lasted a couple of decades\, unt
 il experimentalists discovered a variety of exotic superconductors\, poorl
 y described by BCS. Over the last 20 years\, the use of topology provided 
 a more relevant background to describe these materials. In this talk\, we 
 will briefly recall the phenomenology of superconductors. Then we will exp
 lain the BCS theory. Finally\, we will get to a theory beyond BCS\, the so
 -called chiralsuperconductors.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nLe séminaire des doctora
 nt⋅es de l'I2M et du CPT à Luminy regroupe chaque semaine les doctorant
 ⋅es du site autour d'un exposé plus ou moins (in)formel\, dans un cadre
  convivial. Il est évidemment ouvert aux étudiant⋅es de master et aux 
 doctorant⋅es d'autres laboratoires.\n\nPour le moment\, le séminaire a 
 lieu dans la salle 500-504b du TPR2\, au 5ème étage.
