he study of smooth convolution algebras associated to Lie groups\, appear
ing naturally in non-commutative geometry and representation theory. Our
result establishes a stable isomorphism between the periodic cyclic homolo
gy of the smooth crossed product algebras associated to a real Lie group
and to its maximal compact subgroup. It may be viewed an homological anal
ogue to the Dirac induction with coefficients for Lie groups.\nOur approa
ch is built on earlier work of Nistor who established this isomorphism lo
cally\, i.e. around each conjugacy class of the group and without stabiliz
ation. Essential tools come from Kasparov’s bivariant K-theory and its i
nterpretation by Cuntz. We set up a refinement of the Dirac-dual Dirac me
thod and of Morita equivalence which fit into our framework.\n\nKeywords:

 ory\, bivariant K-theory\, Lie groups\, Representation theory.\n

SUMMARY:Samuel Humeau (LIS): Correspondences between codensity and coupling
 -based liftings\, a practical approach.
DESCRIPTION:Samuel Humeau: The Kantorovich distance is a widely used metric
between probability\ndistributions. The Kantorovich-Rubinstein duality st
ates that it can be\ndefined in two equivalent ways: as a supremum\, based
on non-expansive\nfunctions into [0\,1]\, and as an infimum\, based on pr
obabilistic couplings.\nOrthogonally\, there are categorical generalisatio
ns of both\npresentations proposed in the literature\, in the form of code
nsity\nliftings and what we refer to as coupling-based liftings. Both lift
\nendofunctors on the category Set of sets and functions to that of\npseud
ometric spaces\, and both are parameterised by modalities from\ncoalgebrai
c modal logic.\nA generalisation of the Kantorovich-Rubinstein duality has
been more\nnebulous - it is known not to work in some cases. In this pape
 r we\npropose a compositional approach for obtaining such generalised\ndua
lities for a class of functors\, which is closed under coproducts and\npro
ducts. Our approach is based on an explicit construction of\nmodalities an
d also applies to and extends known cases such as that of\nthe powerset fu
 nctor.

ne\, a natural problem is to try to understand when this group is conjugat
e to a group of diffeomorphisms\, and also to elucidate the optimal regula
rity within the conjugacy class. This program has shown to be fruitful in
the class of abelian\, and nilpotent\, groups as well as for some families
of right-angled Artin groups. In this talk\, I will report on a recent pr
oject joint with Franco Gomez\, where we address this problem for the case
  of the Baumslag-Solitar groups BS(m\,n).

SUMMARY:Olivier Laurent (ÉNS de Lyon): 1 = ⊥ in MLL
DESCRIPTION:Olivier Laurent: The introduction of units in multiplicative li
near logic (MLL) makes syntactic properties much more complex\, in particu
lar regarding the question of identity of proofs and thus of proof nets. S
tarting from the well known relation between the axioms 1 ⊢ ⊥ and ⊥
⊢ 1 and the mix rules\, we study which equivalence on sequent-calculus p
roofs provides a syntactic isomorphism 1 ≃ ⊥. This leads to the introd
uction of MLLM\, a variant of MLL with a self dual unit identifying 1 and
⊥.\nMoving to the categorical side of the Curry-Howard-Lambek correspond
ence\, we give a semantic counterpart of the previous syntactic constructi
on in symmetric monoidal closed and *-autonomous categories.

DESCRIPTION:Pierre Latouche: Title: Importance weighted variational graph a
utoencoders for inference in deep latent position block models\n\nAbstract
:\n\nIn this presentation\, I will first show how latent position models c
an be made compatible with block models for network analysis through the u
se of deep generative models. I will focus on the binary edge case and int
roduce a new random graph model along with a variational graph auto encodi
ng strategy for inference. I will discuss the identifiability of the model
and explain how model selection can be performed. I will then move to the
sparse discrete edge case in the same deep\, block compatible\, modelling
framework. I will show how importance weighted variational inference can
strongly improve the inference procedure over the classical variational au
to encoding strategy. I will give the importance weights used for sampling
and show that\, in the limit\, the lower bound obtained converges to the
integrated log likelihood of the data. Through this presentation\, I will
emphasise the need to rely on flexible random graph models to obtain relev
 ant loss functions.

SUMMARY:Thomas CHOUTEAU (Universidade de São Paulo): Orthogonal Polynomial
  Ensemble and their deformations.
DESCRIPTION:Thomas CHOUTEAU: Orthogonal Polynomial Ensembles (OPEs) are an
important class of\ndeterminantal point processes arising naturally from f
amilies of orthogonal\npolynomials. Their structure is encoded in their co
rrelation functions\,\nwhich can be expressed in terms of the associated C
hristoffel–Darboux\nkernel.\n\nIn this talk\, I will first introduce OPE
s from a probabilistic perspective\nand explain how orthogonal polynomials
naturally enter the picture.\nParticular interest will be placed on the r
ole of the Christoffel–Darboux\nkernel and on classical connections with
random matrix theory\, including\nuniversality phenomena in the large-par
ticle limit.\n\nIn the second part of the talk\, I will discuss a class of
deformations of\nOPEs that can be interpreted as a thinning of the underl
 ying point process.\nFocusing on a bulk critical scaling regime\, I will p
resent recent joint\nwork with collaborators in Brazil showing how the lar
ge-scale behavior of\nthe particles is governed by an integrable structure
  involving an\nintegro-differential Painlevé V equation.\n\nThis presenta

SUMMARY:Antoine Moll (...): Séminaire d'Antoine Moll
DESCRIPTION:Antoine Moll: Antoine nous parlerra d'"Improving Fairness in th
e Detection of Undiagnosed Diabetes without Increasing Loss Ratio" dont vo
ici un résumé :\n\nUndiagnosed diabetes is a significant source of risk
misclassifications in life and health insurance underwriting\, affecting m
ortality\, disability\, and critical illness assessments. Because many app
licants are unaware of their condition\, insurers relying solely on self-r
eported information may underestimate true medical risk. This study examin
es how complementary screening strategies can improve the detection of und
iagnosed diabetes while controlling medical testing costs and enhancing fa
irness strategy of testing.\nUsing data from the National Health and Nutri
tion Examination Survey (NHANES) linked to mortality follow-up\, several s
creening strategies are evaluated\, ranging from simple questionnaires to
a model without constraints. Logistic regression and gradient boosting mod
els are used to estimate the probability of undiagnosed diabetes\, while m
ortality is modeled using Cox proportional hazards. Economic performance i
s evaluated through a loss ratio framework that incorporates underwriting
costs.\nA screening strategy combining a medical examination with a urine
albumin to creatinine test markedly improves detection and mortality segme
ntation while remaining cost efficient. Testing about 30-40% of the highes
t risk applicants maximizes underwriting gains but it creates unfairness a
nd methods are developed to improve fairness.

SUMMARY:Julien POISAT (Université Paris Dauphine): Phase transitions in ch

DESCRIPTION:Julien POISAT: I will review some old and recent results on the
topic of charged polymer models. Those are random walk models with disord
ered interaction at self-intersections\, introduced by Kantor and Kardar i
n the 90’s. Precise results have been obtained so far for the one-dimens
ional model in the annealed setting\, showing a phase transition from a co
llapsed phase (attractive interactions prevailing) to an extended phase (r
epulsive interactions prevailing). Those results have been then extended t
o higher dimensions\, in a more qualitative way. I will also mention a var
iant model with quenched disorder\, for which a freezing transition was co
njectured by Derrida\, Griffiths and Higgs. Based on joint works with Q. B
 erger\, F. Caravenna\, F. den Hollander and N. Pétrélis.

ns\, mots lisses\nAbstract:\n\nSymbolic dynamics and combinatorics on word
s are two complementary approaches to evaluate how complex infinite words
are\, where infinite words are often seen as discrete representations of m
ore complex processes. This thesis explores two major notions to describe
infinite words: the factor complexity is the function that counts the num
ber of finite words of each length\, and uniform recurrence/minimality is
the property that controls how occurrences of finite words are spread.\nSu
bstitutions are one of the primary ways to generate infinite words and gav
e birth to a fruitful theory in symbolic dynamics. Driven by the problem o
f computing the complexity class of a given morphic sequence\, we begin by
presenting a review of the results of Pansiot and Devyatov that describe
the possible complexity classes. Then\, inspired by the recent characteriz
ation of minimal substitution subshifts by Shimomura\, we investigate how
non-minimal a substitution subshift can be. To do so we characterize and c
ount the minimal components of these subshifts.\nBeyond the substitutive f
ramework\, the famous Oldenburger-Kolakoski sequence raises difficult que
stions about its recurrence\, its factor complexity and its frequencies. B
y considering a generalization called smooth sequences over 2-integer alph
abets\, we present contributions to two connected problems. We first st
udy the factor complexity of the language of smooth words\, which is co
njectured to grow like Θ(n^ρ) where ρ depends on the alphabet. We prove
the lower bound in the general case and the upper bound when the two let
ters are even integers\, and we improve the known upper bound when the two
letters are odd integers. Then we study smooth sequences over even and o
dd alphabets\, which happen to have an S-adic representation. We prove tha
t these sequences are uniformly recurrent\, and\, under conditions on the
alphabet\, that they have linear factor complexity and are uniquely ergod
ic.\n\nKeywords: Symbolic dynamics\, combinatorics on words\, factor compl
 exity\, minimality\, substitutions\, smooth word

SUMMARY:Jérémy Alpacca (I2M): Coloring problems
DESCRIPTION:Jérémy Alpacca: Abstract : Who does not remember coloring as
a child? It was a chance to let our imagination run free\, guided by a si
ngle challenge: not to go outside the lines! Today\, we have grown up\, an
d those days feel like a distant memory.\n\n\n\nIn this talk\, we will att
empt to revive this childhood pastime from a mathematical perspective. How
ever\, the goal is quite different. We want to determine the number of dis
tinct colorings of an object made up of identical regions. At first glance
\, this may seem like a purely combinatorial problem. Now\, if we color th
e object and then manipulate it without altering its structure\, we still
obtain the same coloring. Group actions then become an essential tool for
counting these colorings. Concrete geometric examples will be explored to
highlight the connection with abstract algebra and to develop an intuitive
  understanding of the underlying concepts.\n\n

SUMMARY:Félix ROUVEYRE (Aix-Marseille Université): On characteristic leng
th for Activated random walk on the line.
DESCRIPTION:Félix ROUVEYRE: The concept of self-organized criticality was
introduced by Bak\, Tang and Wiesenfeld to provide a framework for underst
anding the emergence\, in various contexts\, of systems exhibiting long-ra
nge correlations. The historical model they proposed was the abelian sandp
ile. However\, it  suffers some lack of universality. It was a motivation
for the introduction of the Activated random walk model which is robust\,
and exhibits a phase transition governed by two parameters.\nDespite many
progresses in recent years\, many questions remain opened on this model.
Among them\, the understanding of correlations functions is a crucial one.
We make a step in this direction by establishing the existence of a chara
cteristic length for the one dimensional version of the dynamic at a suffi
ciently low density. This is a joint work with Grégory Maillard and Alexa
 ndre Gaudillière.

SUMMARY:Axel Gastaldi (I2M): An homological analogue of the Baum-Connes con

DESCRIPTION:Axel Gastaldi: The Baum-Connes conjecture for Lie groups establ
ishes a link between the tempered dual of a real Lie group and the unitary
dual of its maximal compact subgroup. This conjecture has been proved in
three different ways: via representation-theoretic arguments\, using the
Dirac-dual Dirac method and more recently via Mackey analogy. Conversely\,
the Baum-Connes conjecture for Lie groups with coefficients still remai
ns unproven.\nIn this talk we propose an homological analogue of this conj
ecture with coefficients by comparing the periodic cyclic homology of sm
ooth crossed product algebras. Our proof relies mostly on the adaptation
of the Dirac-dual Dirac method to the Fréchet framework.

SUMMARY:Kristin Lauter (Meta): AI4Crypto: training small AI models to solve

DESCRIPTION:Kristin Lauter: AI is taking off and we could say we are living
in “the AI Era”.  Progress in AI today is based on mathematics and s
tatistics tools to train machine learning models on large amounts of data\
, to accomplish various prediction tasks like classification.  \nThis ta
lk will explain five years of work on AI4Crypto\, where we train AI models
to attack Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) schemes based on lattices.  Th
is work is a case study in training small ML models to solve hard math pro
blems in practice.  Our AI4Crypto project has developed AI models capable
of recovering secrets in post-quantum cryptosystems (PQC).  The standard
ized PQC systems were designed to be secure against a quantum computer\, b
ut are not necessarily safe against advanced AI!  Understanding the conc
rete security of these standardized PQC schemes is important for the futur
e of e-commerce and internet security.  So instead of saying that we are
living in a “Post-Quantum” era\, we should say that we are living in a
  “Post-AI” era!\n\nLien vers les slides de l'exposé.

SUMMARY:Baptiste Bazin (I2M): Proving Cryptographic Security: The Game-Base
 d Approach
DESCRIPTION:Baptiste Bazin: Abstract : This presentation explores how the
security of cryptographic algorithms is formally proven. Historically\, se
curity relied on the absence of known attacks\, but since the 1980s–90s\
, the focus shifted to mathematical proofs. The core idea is to show that
breaking a scheme's security is at least as hard as solving a well-known h
ard mathematical problem (e.g.\, integer factorization or discrete logarit
hm). Today\, the most widely used method is game-based security proof\, wh
ere security is modeled as a game between an adversary and a challenger. T
his talk will explain this method and demonstrate how different security g
uarantees can be established through such games.
