La théorie des matrices aléatoires se trouve aujourd’hui en pleine floraison. Le but du colloquium sera d’exposer les facettes différentes de cette riche théorie et d’explorer ses connections avec, entre autres, le problème de Riemann-Hilbert, les algèbres de Virasoro, les représentations des groupes fondamentaux des surfaces, les espaces de Fock, la théorie conforme des champs, les processus ponctuels, l’analyse classique, la théorie analytique des nombres, la combinatoire.
The theory of random matrices is now in full bloom. The aim of the colloquium will be to expose the different facets of this rich theory and to explore its connections with, among others, the Riemann-Hilbert problem, Virasoro algebras, representations of fundamental groups of surfaces, Fock spaces, conformal field theory, point processes, classical analysis, analytical number theory, combinatorics.
