I review what is known about the preservation and/or loss of the Gibbs property for various models in which continuous spins are subjected to diffusive evolutions, with or without interaction. I shortly mention some results on discretising continuous spins. This reflects mostly joint work with Kuelske,Opoku and Ruszel.

I will end with discussing some preliminary mean-field results of the path large deviation approach for continuous spins by Redig and Wang.
