For this Friday: In the talk, I will remind the connections between locally semisimple (LS) algebras and their traces on one side and Bratteli diagrams and harmonic functions/ central measures on the other side, and describe the ergodic method for inductively compact groups and compare it with the similar method for LS algebras. In the second part of the lecture I plan to describe Hua–Pickrell measures and corresponding determinantal processes.
