In fluid mechanics involving viscous plastic behavior a current choice is to consider
as constitutive relation the Bingham model exhibiting viscosity and yield stress.
Such a fluid stiffens if its local stresses do not exceed the yield stress, and it behaves like a non-Newtonian fluid otherwise.
This model was investigated in the metal forming process in order to describe wire
drawing, in oil field plug-cementing process and in avalanche dynamics system. In this talk, we shall present our result concerning the existence and uniqueness of local (in time) strong solution of compressible Bingham equations in periodic domain.
