Introduction to quantum machine learning

Quantum computing carries the promise to revolutionize information and communication technologies. After a short introduction to quantum computation, we will go through all the main theorems in quantum algorithms and quantum machine learning. Specifically, we will see how to load classical data in a quantum computers, how to calculate distances in superposition, and how to perform linear algebraic operations exponentially faster than classical computers. Lastly, we will sketch some results: quantum algorithms for dimensionality reduction, classification, and clustering. Some of them are exponentially faster than the classical counterpart.
