Mon but dans cet exposé sera de présenter quelques résultats et idées sur l’analyse de réprésentations non unitaires de groupes de Lie semisimples ou de groupes arithmétiques sur des espaces de Hilbert ou plus généralement de Banach. Ces idées remontent à une quinzaine d’année, dans les travaux de Vincent Lafforgue, antérieurs et distincts de ses travaux sur la conjecture de Langlands. J’ai ensuite, avec plusieurs autres co-auteurs, passé quelques années à sa suite pour développer ces outils. Je tenterai aussi d’expliquer certaines applications.
Enhanced property (T): an overview
My aim in this talk will be to present some results and ideas on the analysis of non-unitary representations of semisimple Lie groups or arithmetic groups on Hilbert or more generally Banach spaces. These ideas go back to about fifteen years ago, in the work of Vincent Lafforgue, prior to and distinct from his work on the Langlands conjecture. I then, with several other co-authors, spent a few years following him to develop these tools. I will also try to explain some applications.
