Faber polynomials and Joukowski domains
The Faber polynomials associated with a domain of the complex plane play the role of the Taylor series for this domain. They are used in particular in approximation theory and in numerical analysis. The asymptotic behavior of their zeros is not known in all generality. We study this question in the case of Joukowski domains (or airfoils). We also make a link with certain Chebyshev quadratures studied by Ullman.
