We define frontal deformations, unfoldings, stability and codimension. The main difference with Ishikawa’s theory of integral mappings is that we define and calculate in the base space, not in the Legendrian fibration. We obtain a Mather-Gaffney criterion for stability and other results related to stability of frontals. This is ongoing research which is part of the phd Thesis of my common student with Juan J. Nuño-Ballesteros, Christian Muñoz Cabello.
