GDSous/GSG "Geometry of Subgroups"
The ANR GDSous/GSG (Geometry of subgroups) will sponsor a
Postdoctoral research fellowship in Mathematics and more precisely in
geometric group theory for the academic year 2013-2014.
Applicants working specifically on (relatively) hyperbolic and CAT(0)
groups, and mastering tools of Lp cohomology, cubulations, and dynamics
will be privileged.
The research fellow will be based in one or more universities where the
members of the project are employed (Univ.
Aix-Marseille, Lille 1, Lyon 1, Paris-Sud (Orsay), Toulouse III).
The position will be a research only (no teaching) contract lasting one
year and non renewable.
The salary will vary between 2000 and 2300 euros according to the candidate
professional experience.
Detailed description : It is
mandatory for applicants to contact the members of the project closer
to their research interests, prior to applying.
Receivability: Candidates must
have a Ph.D. in Mathematics, obtained before October 1st, 2013.

- research report;
- a
scientific proposal (about two pages) specifying who are the members of
the project the candidate is willing to work with and in which
university or universities he or she would like to be based;
- two (max) recommendation letters from two mathematicians not
involved with the project;
- a letter from the thesis advisor.
