The isoperimetric problem with densities

The question whether or not there exist isoperimetric regions with densities can be very trivial or extremely difficult to consider, depending on the assumptions on the density functions. We survey some known facts about this topic and we present an existence result obtained in collaboration with Guido De Philippis (Zurich) and Aldo Pratelli (Erlangen)
