On a principle of large deviation in logarithmic potential theory
We will make a few reminders on the principles of large deviations, by evoking in particular certain examples drawn from models of random matrices. We will then describe a recent work by Thomas Bloom and Norman Levenberg which makes it possible to obtain such principles within the framework of the theory of logarithmic potential. If time permits, we will mention the vector extension of these results and some questions concerning the non-compact case.
