In this talk, we address the inverse problem of determining transverse dynamic loads on a clamped plate reinforced by two orthogonal sets of beams. Under the assumption of infinitesimal deformation – meaning that linear elasticity theory applies – a homogeneous isotropic material, and negligible beam torsional stiffness, we demonstrate that measuring the transverse response over a small region of the mid-plane and during a brief time interval uniquely identifies the spatial component of the load. This result extends to multiple asynchronous loads and underpins a reconstruction procedure, validated through numerical simulations. The main tools are almost periodic distributions and spherical means properties.
