A mathematical camp for high school
girls in an exceptional setting close to the Calanques,
in Marseille
As part of the year of
mathematics 2019-2020, the Institute
of Mathematics of Marseille (I2M) organized a week of
intensive school dedicated to mathematics for a score of
high school girls (first class, possibly second and final)
of the academy of Aix-Marseille during the
period of the school holidays of All Saints, Monday 28
October to Friday, November 1, 2019.
This project is carried out
jointly with the regional pedagogical unit of the
Aix-Marseille Academy.
This week was intended to participate in the dissemination
of culture and the scientific spirit while fighting against
the disaffection of women for this theme.
It took place in the
prestigious Centre International de Rencontres
Mathematiques (CIRM) on the Luminy campus in
Marseille.
The stay was entirely supported by the organizers.
