Post-Doctoral announcement [2020]

Institut de Mathematiques de Marseille (I2M) expects several CNRS Post-Doctoral Research Positions in Mathematics as part of the project « Intermediate Chaos » funded by the European Research Council (ERC), PI: Alexander Bufetov.

Applicants should have a PhD degree at the time of starting the job. Applicants are advised to include the following:
– cover letter / statement of purpose;
– research statement;
– CV and list of publications.
These materials should be sent to the address erc-chaos@math.cnrs.fr.

Applicants should also arrange for recommendation letters to be sent directly to the address erc-chaos@math.cnrs.fr.

The selected applicants are expected to start in 2020, the exact starting date is negotiable. The duration of the position will normally be between one and three years.

CNRS sets salaries on an individual basis depending on the candidate’s qualifications and within the range 1900 – 2700 € / month after taxes. The position carries no teaching load, but optional teaching opportunities are provided.

Horaires des navettes du Très Grand Bus, ligne B3B :

Pour venir au Centre de Mathématiques et Informatique (CMI) depuis le centre-ville (Gare ou vieux port), il faut :

Prendre le Métro Ligne 1 (bleue) jusqu’au terminus de la Rose.

Prendre alors le bus numéro B3-B, jusqu’à l’arrêt Polytech Marseille. Pour trouver l’arrêt à la station la Rose, prenez à droite après les tourniquets, sortez, traversez la voie dédiée aux bus, allez sur la gauche pour environ 50 m et l’arrêt de bus s’appelle Métro la Rose.

Marcher jusqu’au CMI : en sortant du bus, prendre à droite et marcher jusqu’au rond-point. Le portail d’entrée du CMI est de l’autre coté de ce rond-point. Voir aussi le plan-photo joint.

Ceci demande environ 40 minutes (suivant l’heure de départ et le temps de correspondance).

To come to the Centre de Mathématiques et Informatique (Center of Mathematics and Computer Science, CMI) from the train station or downtown (the old harbor), the trip takes approximatively 40 minutes. Here are some instructions :

Take the Metro Line 1 (blue) in the direction of La Rose until the last station La Rose.

Take the Bus n° B3-B until the Polytech Marseille stop. To find the bus at the la Rose station, turn right after the stairs and turnstiles, go outside, cross the road dedicated to buses, go left for about 50 meters and the bus stop is called Metro la Rose.

Walk till the CMI (2 minutes) : once outside the bus, turn right and walk until the roundabout. The entrance gate of the CMI is on the other side of the roundabout. See the map.
