Substreetutions are a family of maps defined on colored binary trees that, in some sense, extend the usual concept of substitution. They were motivated by a previous work with Leplaideur and Lopes, where an equation on the form f²H = Hf was considered, and also by some works by Rozikov about phase transitions in the statistical mechanics of some models on the tree. Our goal in this talk is to give some examples of substreetutions and describe basic dynamical properties of those objects. This is a joint work with R. Leplaideur.
