Journées Traitement de l'image
24-25 novembre 2011
Overview
Many research areas such as Biology, Health, Physics or Engineering ask for the development of more and more sophisticated image acquisition systems and image processing toolboxes.
In this context, research in Image Processing is particularly stimulated and active. While providing specific solutions for applications, it also leads to original theoretical developments in several areas of mathematics.
This meeting aims to report advances in mathematical image processing, in the field of optimization and statistics. The speakers will present new models and techniques dealing with issues as various as image and surface registration, texture analysis, image restoration, 3D reconstruction and other inverse problems. A special attention will be given to applications in the field of medical imaging and astronomy.
