Questions to McLennan

The McLennan ensemble describes close-to-equilibrium stationary fluctuations. It summarizes the usual linear response theory around reversible Markov processes.
As these McLennan ensembles for spatially extended systems extend the class of Gibbs measures to close-to-equilibrium situations, there arise a number of natural statistical mechanical questions related to their thermodynamic limit and phase transition behavior. In this talk we introduce the McLennan ensembles and show their main interest and properties. The rest of the talk formulates a number of open questions.
