p-adic interpolation of central critical values of GL_n-automorphic L-functions in ring class towers

Let K/F be a CM field, n \geq 2 an even integer, and \pi a cohomological automorphic representation of GL_n(\A_K). I will outline two constructions of p-adic interpolation series for the “algebraic parts” of the standard L-function of \pi twisted by ring class characters factoring through anticyclotomic characters in the ordinary setting, along with some arithmetic applications (and new directions).
