Zeckendorf representation, odometer and variation of the sum of the numbers
We are interested in a problem of variation of the sum of the digits when we add a fixed integer r: at what point this variation will take a value d? This problem obviously depends on the way of writing the numbers and was much studied in integer base (in particular in binary). We will look at another writing system similar to binary and linked to the Fibonacci sequence: the Zeckendorf representation. To do this, we will introduce the odometer associated with this writing. Thanks to it, we will construct a probability space adapted to this problem. We will also propose a method to answer the initial question.
