This presentation is dedicated to the resolution of highly anisotropic diffusion equations that could be singularly perturbed/ill-conditioned as epsilon tends near to zero (epsilon being a positive small parameter characterizing the magnitude of the anisotropy). We introduce a new asymptotic-preserving-like method, called quasi-asymptotic-preserving (QAP), in a mixed formulation and inspired by the macro-micro decomposition proposed by Degond et al. in 2012; as well as an HDG scheme that takes root in the SWIP scheme proposed by Ern et al. in 2009.
